This project was developed during the first game jam hosted by TapTap, a prominent Chinese online game store, with the theme of Light. I served as the Level Designer and Environment Artist, contributing to the game's overall visual and gameplay design.
Our team aimed to create a narrative-driven puzzle game that leverages light and shadow-based mechanics to deliver an immersive player experience. Inspired by the streaming level technique from Alan Wake 2, the game integrates seamless scene transitions to enhance storytelling. Additionally, we incorporated smaller gameplay elements to complement the core mechanics and elevate the puzzle-solving experience.
This project not only challenged us to innovate within a limited timeframe but also allowed us to explore creative ways of using lighting and shadow to shape gameplay and narrative cohesively.
